In a Nutshell

Husband. Dad. Dreamer. Culture enthusiast. Psychology nerd. Dog Person. Music Guy.

The Full Story

I grew up on the coast of Texas until my family moved to Louisville, Kentucky. It took a while, but Louisville has become a city I love. At the age of 21, I gave my life to Christ. God used a youth pastor who was intentional about meeting people where they were to change the trajectory of my life. Shortly after that, I attended Louisville Bible College to fulfill my desire to learn more but did not jump into ministry right away. It took several years and some hard lessons before I was ready to lead others in a church. But our God redeems, and I am grateful to do ministry here at The Ridge.

What I Do

I lead the congregation here at The Ridge in worship. Worship music can uplift our spirits, cultivate unity, and assist our expression and response to God. Another big part of what I do is develop our worship and production teams, guide the creative process, and organize worship services. Sometimes I pluck the strings of a guitar and sing into a mic.

Life Before The Ridge

Before coming to The Ridge, I worked for other churches and worked in a boy’s home. I studied Biblical studies at Louisville Bible College and human services and counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University. I am currently finishing a master's at IWU in psychology. I spent some time working as a welder and fabricator through college.
