Ridge Reading Challenge
Join The Ridge Reading Challenge
Every January, we kick off a church-wide challenge to read major parts of the Bible throughout the year, called the Ridge Reading Challenge. We are doing this because we want to make a commitment – as a church – to read the Bible every day. We believe if we all set a goal to do this and encourage one another – we can all grow in our faith, knowledge of who Jesus is and how God wants to work in our lives.
Be sure to join our Facebook group, where you can interact with other people participating.
You can check out the reading plan below, or you can find it in our app events (just text APP to 812.408.1188 to get the app).
HOW TO ACCESS THE STUDY PLANS FOR THE RIDGE READING CHALLENGE.

We are still utilizing the YouVersion Bible app! The Bible app has TONS of studies, and we're able to post topical studies that follow along with Sunday morning sermon series, or other topics that we think are interesting. We'll continue to post the featured studies in our Ridge app as well (in the "events" tab).

To follow along with the studies in the Bible app, you can follow these instructions (they may look like a lot, but once you've got it set up, it's super easy to access):

Download the YouVersion Bible app (get it here: https://www.bible.com/app).

In the app, click “discover.”

Search for “The Ridge,” then click “churches” on the top of the results page.

Click on The Ridge, and click “set as my church.”

Once The Ridge is set as your church, you can view the current plan at any time by clicking “more” in the bottom right corner, then clicking “my church.”

The current plan can be found as the “featured plan” on the Ridge page. Click “start plan” to update your progress, read each day’s devotional and verse(s), and catch up on any days you miss.
We are excited to see how God will move in our church when we all make time with Him a priority!

Students in 7th - 12th grade are invited to join us for Group Choice Night: Each group gets extended time together after worship. If there's something you've always wanted to do together, this may be the day.

Are you a mom of a kindergartener or younger? Do you wish you knew other moms who you could hang out with, talk to, and share hand-me-downs? Do you have a secret desire to watch Bluey with someone over the age of 3? If so, Ridge Moms is for you!
On Tuesday, September 2, at 9:00am, we'll have our first Ridge Moms meeting of the season. Each month on the first Tuesday we'll have breakfast, interesting speakers, adult conversation, hot coffee, and childcare. Sounds like fun, right? You can sign up now right here.

Next Steps Meeting

Wanting to take a next step, but not sure what that looks like for you? Interested in serving or joining a group, but don't know how to get plugged in? We're here to help!
On Sunday, April 12, during our 11am service, we'll be meeting in the conference room (next to the women's restroom) to discuss small groups, serving opportunities, and getting connected at The Ridge. You'll have a chance to sit with leaders, chat, ask questions, and see what your next step might be.
If you plan on attending, please fill out this form. And if you have children, they are welcome to attend our kids programs while you attend the meeting (they'll have a lot more fun there!).

Student Ministry Missions Trip
Our Student Ministry is planning a missions trip to Logan, West Virginia, July 19-24 this summer. This trip is for incoming 9th grade students through graduating 12th grade students and their Ridge mentors. Our group will serve the diverse community of Logan in a variety of ways, including working with children and a variety of service projects. We are working with YouthWorks, who partners with a number of organizations to come alongside those experiencing homelessness, local children, and the elderly. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2002. Check out more about this trip here.
Total cost is $350 through the end of March, then $450 through the end of April. From May on, the price goes up to $550, so sign up soon to get the best price. Use this form to register. A $50 deposit is required at time of registration, which can be paid through the same registration form.
Ways you can pray for this trip:
Pray for our students and mentors leading up to and during the trip.
Pray for those in West Virginia who will be impacted by how God works in their community.
Pray for the staff and volunteers at YouthWorks as they lead this group and other student ministry missions trips.
Pray for our team as the travel to West Virginia on July 19th, and as they return on the 24th.
